Fiber-Cement (Hardie Board Siding)
Hardie Board siding is made of cement-like materials and wood fibers. It's significantly thicker than vinyl siding and offers deeper texturing. However, it's also more expensive and may require painting post-installation. Fiber-cement siding is single panel install and comes in only one profile, clapboard, as opposed to the numerous profiles of vinyl siding.
